PART III
WHAT NEXT?
Part III of this kit begins with some final thoughts as you work to create and celebrate legacies big and small.
Then there are three annotated bibliographies. The first recommends websites and organizations that offer support and information relevant to the goals of the Something to Remember Me By Legacy Project. There are some sites/organizations that can help schools set up intergenerational programs. There are some sites/organizations that offer ideas and information for families, particularly grandparents. And there are some websites that young and old can visit together.
The second bibliography recommends books for teachers, parents, and grandparents. There are general books on grandparenting and intergenerational relationships, as well as books on specific topics like genealogy, scrapbooking, and telling family stories.
The third bibliography is a comprehensive list of the best intergenerational storybooks available. Many can be used by teachers to support the classroom activities in this kit. A parent or grandparent can also cuddle up and share the books with a child.
The kit ends with information on the Something to Remember Me By Legacy Project Partners, and the project's National Chair, intergenerational researcher, educator, and bestselling author Susan V. Bosak, MA.
